When I decided to open a business, I already knew that it would be different. I have a certain style, things that I like, and I wanted to do it my way. I also knew that nobody would ever be able to remember how to spell Westfarthing Woodworks in a search bar.
So please, make it easy on yourself and bookmark my site. This one simple action will make it very easy for you to keep up with all the free content that I publish several times a week.
My logo is another example. I like the medieval time period, and fantasy literature/movies. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Wheel of Time, and Harry Potter are some of my favorite works.
With that in mind, I wanted to design a logo that reflected my personal interests, as well as incorporate what I do in my business.
All the business experts out there would agree that I failed on two major things. Keeping my name easy to spell, and making a simple memorable logo.
While I am sure they are correct, there is one key thing that any good business needs before any of that.
It needs to be helpful, and provide people with something useful. It doesn’t matter how well branded you are, if your service or product is awful, nobody will come back. On the other hand, if your service is great, then it won’t matter as much what your branding looks like.
With all of this in mind, if you really like that I have to share, please take a moment and bookmark my site. If you came here directly, click on Westfarthing Woodworks at the top of the screen, and you will be taken to my home page.
At that point, bookmark the site in your browser. Once you do, it will be a simple matter of clicking on the bookmark, and you will be taken right where you need to go.
If you have any questions about bookmarking my site, or wonder what the meaning is behind my ridiculously long business name, please leave a comment and I will be glad to answer them. Also, please share my work with your friends on Pinterest! Happy building.
