Small Lathe for Ring Making?

I am in the process of researching a smaller lathe for ring making can you recommend any?

Thank you. If you are making rings, it’s such a small project that you can really make it on just about any lathe that you can attach a chuck.

I use a set of pin jaws, but there are also some setups that you can find online that use a pen turning mandrel and pressure discs to hold the material while you turn it.

Personally, I have a Harbor Freight lathe that I bought about a decade ago, and it’s been great for me. I think it was about $200 at the time, or maybe less.

In reality, any midi lathe will be fine, so pick a brand you like and unless you are going to make the ring using a mandrel, buy a chuck with small pin jaws.
